ALTON, Iowa (KCAU) — An Alton lady was arrested and charged with child endangerment right after she locked herself and a little one in a bedroom, threatening to kill herself with a shotgun.
According to courtroom paperwork, on June 21 at 7:13 a.m., Autumn Van Der Linden, 34, was arguing with her child’s father, Tyler Robinson, at a home in Alton. Van Der Linden locked herself and her baby in a bed room, threatening to kill herself with a shotgun. Robinson was capable to get into the bed room, took the kid, and attempted to go away in a pickup that was in the driveway.
When Robinson tried to travel away, Van Der Linden jumped into the mattress of the pickup and broke the rear window with the youngster inside of the cab. Robinson stopped and got out of the pickup and pulled Van Der Linden from the pickup bed. When Robinson experimented with to go away again, Van Der Linden jumped back again in the bed and rode in the back for about 4 miles. Robinson dropped Van Der Linden and the child of at Van Der Linden’s cousin’s dwelling.
Van Der Linden was arrested and billed with kid endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was lodged in the Sioux County Jail.
